Rebuild LA
As lifelong Angelenos, we at Pillar Homes were absolutely devastated by the monumental impact of the Palisades and Eaton fires in January 2025. Growing up in Los Angeles, we’ve always been acutely aware of the annual wildfire season, having lived through numerous fire events over the years. However, the scale of destruction from these fires has eclipsed all previous experiences, marking them as the most destructive natural disasters in California’s history. The fires not only claimed numerous lives but also obliterated an unprecedented number of homes, businesses, and personal possessions, leaving many residents in despair.
At Pillar Homes, we are deeply committed to aiding our community in this time of crisis. With over 30 years of collective experience in new home construction in Los Angeles, we have cultivated robust relationships with top-tier permit expediting firms, architects, and engineers throughout the area. Our extensive network and expertise position us uniquely to assist in the complex journey from cleanup to reconstruction.
Understanding the financial strain that rebuilding can impose, Pillar Homes is taking proactive steps to support our fellow Angelenos. We are waiving all pre-construction fees, ensuring that the initial stages of rebuilding do not add further financial stress. This initiative includes full principal involvement during the permitting process, providing hands-on guidance to navigate the often convoluted bureaucratic landscape of post-disaster reconstruction.
Moreover, we are offering our services under fully transparent cost-plus agreements for all projects. This approach ensures that there are no hidden costs, allowing clients to see exactly where their money is going, which is crucial for trust and clarity during such uncertain times. Our commitment extends beyond mere construction; we aim to be a pillar of support, helping to restore not just homes but lives and community spirit.
The Palisades Fire has ravaged over 37 square miles, with containment at only 14%, while the Eaton Fire, nearly the size of Manhattan, was 33% contained by January 13, 2025, leading to the tragic loss of 24 lives and the destruction of 12,300 structures. With tens of thousands evacuated, the path to recovery is long, but Pillar Homes is here to assist every step of the way, from the initial assessments to laying down the last brick in rebuilding lives and neighborhoods.
